Kidnapped Engineer: Tribal help will be sought
despite a lapse of one week, government functionaries have failed to get any clue about the the kidnapped engineer.

Brother of a kidnapped Qesco engineer Rauf Baloch and Qesco labour union have decided to seek tribal elders’ help to rescue Baloch. Addressing a news conference at Quetta Press Club, president Qesco labour union Mohammad Safdar Kurd said that despite a lapse of one week, government functionaries have failed to get any clue about the whereabouts of the kidnapped engineer. “Qesco union, after consulting relatives of the kidnapped engineer, have decided to form a committee which will approach tribal elders and seek their help for the safe and immediate release of engineer Rauf Baloch,” he said. Baloch was kidnapped by a group of armed men from the busy Satellite Town of Quetta city a week ago. No group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping while investigators believe he was kidnapped for ransom.
