Garbage removed from different areas of korangi
KARACHI:
Around 79 tonnes of garbage was removed from different areas of the Korangi district on Saturday, the first day of the joint cleanliness campaign by Korangi district municipal corporation (DMC) and the Korangi deputy commissioner (DC). The aim of the campaign, as directed by the Sindh chief minister, is to create a clean and green environment for the residents of Korangi district. The areas targeted on Saturday included Shah Faisal Colony, Qayyumabad and Model Colony, among others. The removed garbage was transported initially to the Garbage Transfer Station, Char Minar and would eventually be transported to Deh Jaam Chakro for proper disposal by the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board.
