KARACHI:
Nadeem Babar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Petroleum, held talks on Saturday with the management of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) on gas theft and the measures adopted by the federal government and the gas utility to control it.

Babar said that on April 2019 SSGC and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) formulated a campaign to control gas theft with the energy ministry's petroleum division and his meeting with the SSGC management was primarily to review the progress on anti-gas theft numbers and reduction of Unaccounted for Gas (UFG). He added that percentage-wise, UFG will eventually show a marked decrease slowly yet surely.
