Repairs on the Kot Aalmo protection dyke in Mirpur Bhattoro district of Thatta is still under way. The Sindh government allocated 55 million rupees to plug leaks back in Februrary. The contractors claim the work will be completed in another week. The Manarki dyke, which was scheduled to be completed on June 30, is still incomplete. A state of emergency has been declared over fear of floods.
