KARACHI: If you haven't noticed, Baaji stars Meera jee and Amna Ilyas are totally rocking twinning styles and social media can't get enough. While the local film has attracted cinemagoers, all eyes are set on the main stars and the outfits they are pulling together.
Meera plays Shameera in the film – a superstar whose popularity is fast dwindling, as is her sanity. Amna essays Neha, a small town girl with big dreams who happens to develop a friendship with Shameera after meeting the star at a salon. Eventually, the duo decides to join hands and try to revive Shameera’s sinking career.
Perhaps their roles somewhat transcend into real-life as the duo puts on a show of matching fashion ensembles. From regal traditional wear to casual attire, the ladies show co-star fashion at its best.
Brilliant brights

They certainly looked regal, donning pishwases in bright pink and orange. Gold accents and trimmings gave just the right amount of bling and the pair tied their looks together with almost identical white dupattas.
Pastel pleasures

Styled by Anila Murtaza and Ansab Jahangir, the duo looked easy breezy in all our favourite shades; Meera was clad pastel green and lilac, while Amna took the lead in lemon yellow and baby blue. Chiffon dupattas made for a delightful daytime look that screamed traditional in all the right ways.
Casual cohesion

They spiced up the look with bold gold accessories, with our gaze set on Amna's choker and hoops. The look gave us inspiration for a casual summer holiday outfit that many stars have been sporting lately. Take cue from Meera in tan heels for a fancier look or if you're into a sportier feel, don white sneakers like Amna.

Lollywood queens

We loved the ivory and ebony vibe, with Amna wearing a bespoke blush pink and white Annus Abrar ensemble while Meera created old world charm in a bejewelled black number and pink floral accents. Both opted for an updo and kept their accessories simple to allow their stunning outfits to shine. Perfect looks to draw wedding inspiration from, we say!
Angharka aura
PHOTO: FILEAgain matching styles but in different colours, Meera and Amna were seen promoting Baaji in traditional angharkas, once again bedazzling everyone. Meera was ravishing in maroon by Ansab Jahangir and wearing statement jewelry by AJJ. Amna, meanwhile, looked elegantly fresh in a lime green shade. And, are they wearing the same white khussas? We think so. Definitely a go-to look for a transitional day-to-night event.
