5 best Instagram looks of the week
We've got you covered as we highlight the most chic looks of the week from stars at home and around the world
KARACHI:
It's that time of the week again, when we bring you the latest from global fashion and how you can recreate the top five looks of the week.
From Hollywood to Bollywood, celebrities and Instagrammers around the world have been showing us some styles these past few days. Deepika Padukone jumped the leather bandwagon in all the right ways, Hollywood it girl Olivia Munn brought back the jumpsuit and our very own Amna Ilyas and Meera Jee gave us serious summer wedding goals with matching traditional outfits. And the best part? All the looks are easily copy-able. So let's dive in, shall we?
Leather love
Leather is so chic when it's done right. It gives off those classy French vibes that gives a bit of somethin' somethin' to an otherwise ordinary outfit. Check out how Padmaavat star Deepika lit up the airport in her all-black leather wrap jacket and knee high boots. We love how she paired it with the full-length skirt. Go DP!
But if you're searching for a pop of colour in leather, check out Kylie Jenner's striped red and black number with polka dot stiletto heels.
Of course, we can't not mentioned the fierce Rihanna taking leather love one step further here, with a super-high ponytail. It's Catwoman but with a twist!
Mom jeans, heels and plain shirts
This casual look is done by mixing a plain t-shirt, relaxed jeans and, of course, heels. Many of our favourite celebrities have been seen rocking this style while on holiday or even at say, a casual brunch or coffee run. Look no further than British-Pakistani model and actor Sabeeka Imam who looked effortlessly stylish whilst strutting around London.
Lollywood beauty Mawra Hocane also showed us that less is more in this white shirt and block heels pairing.
Double-denim glory
This 1980's style is all the rage nowadays as we are seeing it pop up again and again on our favourite stars. And we're not complaining! Longer style jackets give a casual feel as well as loose jeans with the bottoms rolled. We love singer-songwriter Momina Mustehsan's take on the look as it incorporates many bright colours. Baby pink sneakers, canary yellow bag and a printed peach scarf really makes the outfit fun and lively.
5 fashion trends of the week to take inspiration from
Keeping it traditional
In case you haven't noticed, Amna Ilyas and Meera are looking like visions lately, matching their outfits for the promotions of their film Baaji. Our favourite is this traditional style in all the beautiful pastel shades. Their chiffon dupattas are making us feel like we are in a midsummer's dream - perfect for daytime gatherings.
Full-length jumpsuits for the win
Everyone loves a good jumpsuit and we are spotting some Hollywood fashionistas bringing it back. Take a more modest stance with a full-length ensemble like it-girl Olivia Munn did. We are obsessing over the bright red and think the starlet did justice by keeping her face, hair and accessories simple.
If you're going on holiday and want to be comfortable but still look good, consider a printed jumpsuit with comfortable sandals and a cute bucket hat like upcoming American model and film-maker Adesuwa Aighewi wore on a recent trip in Africa.
