A CTD spokesperson said that four local leaders of JuD were convicted by Anti-Terrorism Courts (ATCs). They are identified as Asghar Ali, Junaid Irshad, Ijaz Ahmad and Abdul Khaliq. They have been awarded prison terms of two years along with fines each.

While eight leaders of the JeM include Iftikhar Ahmad, Muhammad Ajmal, Bilal Makki, Abrar Ahmad, Irfan Ahmad, Hafeezullah, Mazhar Nawaz and Abdul Latif. They were handed prison terms of up to five years each.
The spokesperson added that no one would be allowed to finance terrorism with further prosecutions to follow.
