SHC accepts interim bail plea of former Sindh home minister
Restricts NAB from arresting him
KARACHI:
A two-member bench of the Sindh High Court, comprising Justice KK Agha and Justice Omar Sial, accepted on Friday the interim bail plea filed by former Sindh home minister Sohail Anwar Siyal in the inquiry by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sukkur, and issued notice to the NAB for August 6.
The counsel for the petitioner maintained that his client was willing to cooperate with NAB but the national watchdog should be restricted from arresting Siyal. The court accepted the interim bail plea and directed Siyal to submit Rs1 million surety amount.
Besides, the court directed Siyal to cooperate with NAB, restricted NAB from arresting him and issued notice for August 6.
NAB Sukkur had summoned Siyal for interrogation.
