RWMC continues awareness drive against dengue

Teams distributed waste bags and leaflets to highlight the importance of cleanliness and prevention of dengue

RAWALPINDI: Communication teams of Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) in collaboration with Albayrak distributed pamphlets on dengue.

The sanitary companies carried organised the cleanliness and anti-dengue awareness campaign at Pirwadhai bus stand to raise awareness about life cycle, prevalence, treatment and prevention of dengue.

According to a statement, the objective of the activity was to reach out to a maximum number of people, in order to educate the general public about the precautionary measures for dengue to get rid of it.

During the awareness campaign, the communications teams briefed people that we have to adopt cleanliness to fight against this fever.

Teams also distributed waste bags and leaflets to highlight the importance of cleanliness and prevention of dengue.

With the monsoon season about to begin, RWMC has expedited the process of cleaning 11 major storm drains in the city. RWMC said that cleaning teams are working round the clock in two shifts to complete the task before the monsoon season begins in earnest in July.
