Seminar: PIA for safety awareness
Seminar was attended by all representatives of PIA, pilots, controllers and safety experts from PAF and radar.

A seminar on “Safety Awareness” was organised by the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Corporate Safety and Quality Assurance (North) at a local hotel here on Wednesday. The seminar revolved around the theme “Possible is Everything”.
Speakers on the occasion stressed the importance of safety and said that all decisions must be focused on the sole aim of ensuring safety. Seema Zaman, acting PIA Deputy General Manager Quality Assurance & Safety Management System, and Syed Hamid Ali from PIA Engineering Islamabad, spoke about PIA’s safety management system.
There was a general consensus that it assures a disciplined and standardised approach to managing risk. PIA Deputy Managing Director, Saleem Siyani delivered the closing speech and signed a commemorative declaration to mark PIA’s commitment towards safety. This was followed by a question and answers session.
