Last year, Pakistan Army participated for the first time in the event.

In October 2018, an 11-member Pakistan Army team won gold medal in Cambrian Patrol competition held in Wales.
Members of the team were all brave soldiers of a battalion of Northern Light Infantry and hailed from Gilgit-Baltistan.
