CM distributes cheques among families of martyred officials
Buzdar says residences and plots to be given to the martyrs, families will get the officials’ salary until retirement
LAHORE:
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday met with the families of police officials who embraced martyrdom in the Data Darbar blast.
The chief minister presented cheques worth Rs10 million to the families of martyred police officials. Speaking at the occasion, the chief minister said that residences and plots will also be given to the martyrs and the families will receive the officials’ full salary until their retirement.
The government will also provide government jobs to the widow, son or daughter and the families will live in government residences until retirement. Similarly, children will also be provided healthcare and education free-of-charge, he said.
These officials sacrificed their lives for the motherland and every possible effort will be made by the government to facilitate the family, he said. He disclosed that the Punjab police will provide all the possible support and that a relief package will be announced in the budget for the families of civilians who embraced martyrdom.
The IGP stated that martyrs are the pride of the police force and taking care of their families is the responsibility of the police department.
