Boy shoots himself in chest in Kahuta
16-year old critically injures himself after father refuses to let him watch cricket match
RAWALPINDI:
A 16-year old boy critically injured himself by shooting himself in the chest when his father refused to let him watch a cricket match in nearby village.
Haji Mehboob told the Kahuta police that he saw his son who was taking out the motorcycle late in the night and inquired him where was he going.
His son told him that he was going to watch a night cricket tournament in a nearby village. Mehboob said he did not allow his son to go out far away late in the night on which he turned furious. In a fit of rage, the boy picked his father’s pistol and shot himself in the chest.
The victim’s family rushed him to tehsil headquarters hospital in critical condition, from where he was shifted to Holy Family Hospital. The SHO of Kahuta police station said that they had registered a suicide attempt case and started the investigation.
