Sindh CM lauds Christians' services in health sector
Services of Christian community in the development of Pakistan are worth mentioning, says CM

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) supports the formation of a pluralistic society and has always worked for human rights, religious and sectarian harmony and women empowerment in the country.
"We have always given importance to minorities and this is why PPP has included two ministers from the Hindu community in the provincial cabinet and a Christian from the party has been elected as a MPA while another one has been elected in the Senate," he said while talking to a delegation of Christians, led by Worldwide Seventh Day Church President Ted NC Wilson, at the Chief Minister House.
The chief minister welcomed Wilson and lauded his services in the health sector through the platform of Seventh Day Adventist Hospital. He said that the services of the Christian community in different sectors and in the development of the country were worth mentioning.
Wilson said that they [Worldwide Seventh Day Church] had 21 million members working in 215 countries around the world.
"In Pakistan alone there are 32,000 members, he said, adding that "Our mission is to serve humanity without any discrimination."
During the meeting, Wilson also expressed hope for the prosperity and development of Pakistan and particularly of Sindh and its people.
The attendees exchanged views on human rights and the rights of minorities in the meeting.
The chief minister presented Ajrak and Sindhi cap to Wilson and other guests including Ted Wilson's wife Nancy Wilson, Adrew Machesney, Samuel Saw, Claude Richli, Michael Ditta, Iqbal Inayat, Shahib Khan and Sohail Lawrence.
Minorities Minister Hari Ram Kishori, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Rashid Rabbani and Health Special Secretary Asghar Memon also attended the meeting.
