ANP protest campaign from June 9

Party aims to register protest against recent price hikes and record inflation

PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) has announced to launch an agitation campaign across the province against the government from Sunday.

This was decided during a meeting of the party where, after thorough consultations, it was decided that a political struggle against the recent price hikes and record inflation must be launched across the province from June 9.

The ANP provincial and central leadership will lead the protest rallies in major districts of the province. Party chief Asfandyar Wali Khan will address a protest rally in his native Charsadda district, while provincial president Aimal Wali Khan will lead a protest in Swabi.

ANP’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Senior Vice President and former chief minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti will lead the protest in his native Mardan.

The ANP meeting further decided that senior party leaders from the Bilour family will launch an agitation against the PTI-led government in Peshawar.
