Remand: Alleged TTP and Jundullah activists sent to jail
Judicial Magistrate west sends alleged TTP Swat commander to three days of physical remand.
KARACHI:
A judicial magistrate sent an alleged vice commander of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on physical remand along with two alleged members of the banned outfit, Jundullah.
On Wednesday, alleged TTP Swat’s vice commander Nazeer Ahmed alias Waqas and alleged Jundullah members, Saleem and Rizwan, were produced before the judicial magistrate west, Pir Syed Asadullah Shah Rashidi.
Nazeer Ahmed was sent on remand till July 2 to the Sindh police, who demanded the remand after seizing a pistol and five rounds from him. Ahmed was arrested by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) near Valika Hospital, SITE on June 23.
Saleem and Rizwan were also arrested by the CID on the same day, from Hawke’s Bay Road in Mauripur. The police seized two suicide jackets, 25 kilograms of explosives, detonators, sub-machine guns, TNT explosives blocks, hundreds of rounds and four police uniforms from them.
