Afridi given additional charge of anti-narcotics
Portfolio fall vacant after Federal Minister Ali Muhammad Khan Meher passed away last month

Minister of State for States and Frontier Regions (Safron) Shehryar Khan Afridi has been given an additional charge of anti-narcotics. The portfolio had fallen vacant after Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Sardar Ali Muhammad Khan Meher passed away last month.
The decision to give Afridi the additional charge was taken during a cabinet meeting.
Afridi said he was thankful to Allah Almighty and to Prime Minister Imran Khan for reposing trust in him and assigning him the new responsibility.
The minister said all possible steps will be taken to save the nation from the menace of drugs and that he will start a ruthless action against the drug dealers.
