All the police encounters that have occurred in the city and cases pertaining to them will be automatically transferred to the investigation department. Karachi Additional IG Dr Ameer Sheikh officially issued a notification in this regard on Sunday.
According to the notification, the investigation of police encounters that occurred in East district will be transferred to West district Investigation-1 SP, cases of Malir district will be transferred to West district Investigation-2 SP and investigation of the cases of Korangi district will be transferred to South district Investigation-1 SP.
Similarly, the investigation of West district's cases will be transferred to South district Investigation-2 SP while the cases of Central district will be transferred to East Investigation-1 SP. The cases of South district will be transferred to East Investigation-2 SP whereas the cases of City district will be transferred to East Investigation-3 SP.
