CSB recommends promotion of over 180 officers

Proposes elevation of 16 PAS officers to grade-21

ISLAMABAD:
The Central Selection Board (CSB) on Thursday reviewed cases of civil servants for promotions to grade-20 and grade-21 and recommended promotion of over 180 officers. After approval from the prime minister, the board will release its notifications regarding these promotions.

The CSB has recommended promotion of 16 officers of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and two officers each of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) and the Secretariat Group to grade-21.

The PAS officers recommended to be promoted to grade-21 include Momin Ali Agha, Ali Mumtaz Zaidi, Hafiz Sher Ali, Ahmed Baksh Narejo, Haroon Ahmed Khan, Faisal Malik Awan, Nadeem Mehboob, Rashid Mansoor, Umair Karim, Muhammad Abdullah Khan Sumbul, Humair Karim, Capt (retd) Muhammad Mehmood, Shakil Ahmed Manganicho, Zahid Akhtar Zaman and Asad Rehman Gillani.

The two PSP officers recommended to be promoted to grade-21 include Muzaffar Ali Shaikh and Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir while the Secretariat Group officers are Qazi Zohair Ahmed and Hammad Shamimi.

PAS officers recommended to be elevated to grade-20 include Ahsan Bhutta, Saqib Manan, Noreen Bashir, Dr Faisal Zahoor, Yawar Hussain, Usman Ahmed Chaudhry, Dr Usman Ali Khan, Ahmed Aziz Tarar, Ghulam Fareed, Asif Ikram, Dr Syed Saifur Rehman, Humayun Khan and Javed Akhtar Mehmood.

There are 12 PSP officers recommended for promotion to grade-20. These are Muhammad Ali Nekokara, Syed Ali Mohsin, Capt (Retd) Sohail Chaudhry, Abdul Jabbar, Rizwan Manzoor, Nazeer Mukhtar Rajput, Azhar Ikram, Mansoor Alam Kolachi, Abdul Ghafoor Afridi, Humayun Sindhu, Qamaruz Zaman and Syed Fida Hussain.

Three officers of the Secretariat Group – Shahzad Ahmed Malik, Muhammad Akhtar and Bashir Khetran – have been also been recommended for promotion to grade-20, sources said.
