Hackers edit navigation bar to replace word BJP with BEEF
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which recently won the country's general election in a landslide victory, website has been hacked on Thursday.
According to India Today, the web portal of Delhi wing of BJP has been hacked. The hackers replaced several pages of the website with recipes of Beef dishes, accompanied with the message: Hacked by 'Shadow_V1P3R'.
On the homepage, the navigation bar has been edited to replaced word BJP with the word BEEF. For example, About BJP has been edited to About BEEF, BJP History has been changed BEEF History.
The hacking attack took place while PM Modi was taking oath to office in Rasghtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. However, rest of the content on the homepage remained untouched.
However, the website was restored after sometime.
