At least 90 people have been injured after Indian occupying forces opened fire on a crowd protesting against the 'cordon and search' operation in Tazipora area of Kulgam district in the Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK), Radio Pakistan reported.

Indian troops fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on the crowd, critically injuring over six dozens of them. Many of the injured had been admitted to the Kulgam hospital, whereas four were hit with pellets and bullets and were transferred to Srinagar for treatment.

In addition, authorities suspended mobile and internet services in the district. Intense clashes were also reported during a 'cordon and search' operation at Pinjura village in the Shopian district.

Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq denounced the continuous human rights violations committed by the Indian forces in the occupied valley. "The Kashmir issue cannot be solved by force, but by political intervention," he said.
