Woman dies as train rams into vehicles
Resultantly, three persons, including the rickshaw driver received injuries

A 40-year-old woman died while four others were injured when a train rammed into a motorcycle and rickshaw in an under construction site near Kot Lakhpat crossing on Monday. The deceased Mukhtaran Bibi was a resident of Bank Stop and was travelling in the rickshaw when a speeding train collided with the two vehicles. Resultantly, three persons, including the rickshaw driver received injuries. They were shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced Mukhtaran dead. Chief Traffic Police Officer Malik Liaquat visited the crime scene and police collected forensic evidence. A witness narrating the scene shared that the railway crossing was closed when another train was passing by. Afterwards, it was opened. When the rickshaw and bike started crossing the lines, another train all of a sudden approached. The motorcyclist left his two-wheeler on track and jumped on a side, saving his life. Meanwhile, the railway authorities suspended the driver and assistant driver and ordered an immediate inquiry.
