RAWALPINDI: Despite the increase in water storage and pressure, the areas under Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB) have not received an adequate amount of water from the Khanpur Dam Water Supply Project.

The supply control for the project lay with the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB). Due to a fault in the water supply network, water was supplied from Kalma Chowk but it was not enough to fulfill the demand of the residents.

Subsequently, the water supply from the MES water supply network to CCB has sharply decreased, in turn creating difficulties for the citizens and forcing them to buy water from tankers.

CCB Vice President Raja Imtiaz Irfan said that they were trying to fix the fault in the water supply line from Khanpur dam as water deposition has increased from 17 feet to 21 feet.
