DC tells health officials to do rounds of government hospitals

Also gave directions to doctors and related staff to always be ready for emergencies

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi District Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Ali Randhawa has directed District Health Authority (DHA) officials to visit government hospitals in order to examine healthcare facilities.

During a monthly meeting of the district health review committee, he said that the supply of medicines to all hospitals should be uninterrupted.

He added that doctors and related staff should always be present in the hospitals as an emergency could occur at any time.

The chief executive officers and medical superintendents have been directed to keep an eye on the system through android application and dash board.

The officials of health department conducted a briefing in which it was told that the department was conducting various vaccination drives currently.

They said that toll free number 0800-99000 was displayed in visible places at all health centers.

They said the complaints received on the number were resolved within half hour while ones lodged on prime minister’s citizen portal were resolved within a week.

The department officials complained the DC regarding absence of water and electricity in some basic health centers on which he assured of a swift resolution.

Executive Officer Health Dr Arshad, District Health Officer Dr Naveed Akram, and other officials also participated in the meeting.
