Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor is no exception as she made her way to the French Rivieria to attend the coveted event of the year. Following all the buzz from her previous appearances, her fans waited with bated breath to see the looks the Khoobsurat star pulls off this time. Sonam shook Instagram after sharing a photo of herself in a red ruffled Valentino dress. But what really made the look pop was the cute flowers placed in her impeccably neat hairdo. She looked like a breath of fresh air as she soaked in some sun in the city of Cannes.

The star has always managed to grace the film fest with her elegant looks.  This year, her sister Rhea told IANS that they will be keeping it simple and sophisticated.

Keeping up with the ruffles, bows and frills trend many celebrities are donning this year, Sonam stepped up the ante in a navy blue Elie Saab number.

The cape and gloves looks perfectly royal yet Cannes-worthy for the red carpet. Sonam hit all the right notes with a simple low ponytail and dainty diamond jewelry, which oozed a cultivated look.

The star made for a perfect modern day maharani in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla attire, which is possibly her classiest and most chic look to date. She shared pictures wearing the breath-taking outfit on Instagram.

We especially loved the collar and how it made up for the necklace as Sonam attended the Chopard Lanuit Desrois dinner party. The entire style was very overwhelming and left us in absolute awe.
