On the third day of the boat capsize incident in Jamshoro, which left eight including five women and three children dead, all the bodies were pulled out from the Indus River on Monday. The Additional Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ali Ujjar, who oversaw the search and rescue operation since Saturday evening, said that the bodies of three women and two children were fished out on Monday morning.
Earlier, two bodies of women were found on Saturday night and one, of an infant, on Sunday. According to Ujjar, 14 people drowned in the incident which occurred when the boat was ferrying residents of Darro Maachi village near Unarpur in Jamshoro from Matiari district capsized. Six persons were rescued by local boatmen.
Ujjar said that all the bodies were handed over to the Maachi community of Darro Maachi village.
