The Friendship Highway: Sino-Pak motorcycle tour kicks off

A motorcycle tour left for China from Multan as Pakistan declared 2011 as Sino-Pak friendship year. The tour was organised by the Chinese Embassy and mid-country tourists. The tour departed from the Multan Press Club and famous motorcyclists Mukarram Tareen, Iqbal Ghangla and Safdar Khan left for China. On the occasion, Sino-Pak cultural and friendship association Multan chairperson Aurangzeb Khan Baloch and a large number came to see the bikers off. Tourist Mukarram Tareen, said the tour aims at consolidating Sino-Pak friendship. He said that the bikers will cover the 3,600 km trip in seventeen days and return to Multan. The tourists are invited to a dinner at the Chinese Embassy on June 29.
