Swat restaurant sealed for preparing substandard food
The hotel owners have also been issued a warning of further action and fines
PESHAWAR:
As part of a drive to check the quality of foodstuff prepared at various restaurants and hotels in the scenic valley during Ramazan, the district administration sealed one hotel, imposed heavy fines on two others and issued warnings to five others for providing substandard and unhygienic foodstuff.
The hotel owners have also been issued a warning of further action and fines in case they failed to improve the quality of commodities and hygiene conditions.
The action was taken as the Swat district administration launched a campaign to check hotels and restaurants during iftari and sehri times.
For this purpose, all assistant commissioners (ACs) of seven tehsils of the district have been directed to personally visit different hotels and food outlets to check the quality of commodities and hygiene there.
