ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has called its federal, provincial and district leadership for an important meeting in Islamabad on May 20, according to PML-N’s information secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb.

The meeting is expected to discuss the political situation in the country as well as the economic crisis including the fall in the value of the rupee against the US dollar. It also follows a massive restructuring and reshuffle in the party earlier this month, which saw the appointment of 16 vice presidents as well as other key individuals.

The party meeting will be presided over by Raja Zafarul Haq, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the senior vice president, and secretary general Ahsan Iqbal.

In addition to the multi-tiered party leadership, the session would also be attended by PML-N members in the National Assembly and the Senate.

The party leaders in Islamabad as well as presidents and vice presidents in the provinces, district chairmen and vice chairmen will also participate in the meeting.

Along with a comprehensive discussion of the overall situation of the country, the reorganisation of the party and future strategy would be discussed at the meeting.

The party is expected to chalk-out a strategy against the serious financial crisis, increasing dollar exchange rate and inflation.
