Another polio case from the North Waziristan tribal district emerged on Thursday, increasing the tally of cases for the current year to 16, Express News reported.
According to the health department, a three-year-old child was diagnosed with the virus from Zeraki Baadshah Kot village of Mirali UC of the district.
Reports suggested that the child was suffering from high-grade fever and was taken to a dispensary in the village where an injection was administered.
On May 13, two more polio cases were reported in Bannu, increasing the total number of cases in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) to 10.
