Mir Arif Hassani says lodgers at C&W department rest houses would be charged now

Many delegates from the United States and government officials were present at the seminar

QUETTA:
A meeting on Monday decided that people residing in rest houses of Balochistan Communication and Works (C&W) Department would be identified and the government would now charge the lodgers.

“No one would be allowed to stay in these rest houses for indefinite period,” said Balochistan Minister for Communication and Works Mir Arif Hassani while presiding over a meeting regarding arrangements related to budget 2019-20.

Addressing the meeting, the minister said the provincial government through a comprehensive plan is taking measures to enhance performance of government departments and eliminate corruption.


He expressed determination to ensure provision of performance to the departments under him. He urged the government officials to work honestly and make their department result oriented.

Inspecting the budget 2019-20, he said the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) is in its final stage. Funds have been allocated in the upcoming budget for projects of collective nature, he said.

At conclusion of the meeting, the minister was briefed on issues of employees of the C&W department. He assured the employees that their legitimate issues would be resolved.

The meeting was attended by Secretary C&W Mohammad Hasim Gulzai, Quetta Zone Chief Engineer Zaffar Gichki, Sibi Zone Chief Engineer Malik Abdul Rasheem and others.
