Punjab Police officials told to gather tenants’data

All CPOs and DPOs have been directed to submit complete reports to the central police office

LAHORE: In a notification issued by Punjab Police Inspector General Arif Nawaz, all officials have been directed to include the data of all tenants and property dealers should be registered in the police record under the tenancy registration act.

All property dealers who lease their homes and shops on rent for a period of time should submit the details of their tenants at police stations.

Opposition to devise joint strategy in second APC

All CPOs and DPOs have been directed to submit complete reports to the central police office by May 18, the notification added.

During the investigation of high profile cases it was observed that the tenancy act is not implemented. Therefore, its implementation should be ensured and officers and officials found guilty of negligence will face stern departmental action in this regard, the notification read.
