KARACHI:
The Controller General of Accounts (CGA) Mazhar Hussain Zaki inaugurated the Sindh General Provident (GP) Fund Centre on Thursday at the Accountant General's (AG) Office.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Zaki said that he was glad that after taking the initiative of establishing the Sindh Pension Centre, the provincial AG has now again taken the lead in providing better services to the retired government employees.

He added that there was a time when getting GP Fund after retirement was a cumbersome process. People had to wait for months and even years to get their own money from the government treasury.

But after the introduction of SAP system, the lag time had already considerably reduced and now in this one-window GP Fund Centre that would be reduced to minimum and under one roof. Zaki appreciated the efforts of the Sindh AG Ghufran Memon and his entire team for providing better service delivery to retired government employees and shifting all pension payments to online system.

Memon thanked Sindh government for their support in establishing Pension and GP Fund centres throughout the province. He also informed that within a period of two months, Sindh Pension Centres have been established in all 22 districts of Sindh. Later on, CGA inaugurated the final Sindh Pension Centre at District Accounts Office, Hyderabad.
