UAF installs RO water plant at campus

UAF VC says the university was moving ahead to provide hygienic food and drinks

UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf has said the university was moving ahead to provide hygienic food and drinks at the doorstep of common people. He expressed these views while inaugurating an RO water plant on Thursday. The RO plant has been set up by the National Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFSAT) University of Agriculture Faisalabad. The water plant will be working under the supervision of qualified food scientists to provide pure mineral water for the campus community and the general public at affordable prices. Faculty of Food Sciences and Technology Dean Dr Masood Sadiq Butt and NIFSAT DG Dr Tahir Zahoor were also present on the occasion. Dr Muhammad Ashraf said university was moving ahead to provide hygienic food and drinks at the doorstep of common people. He said the university should not be piled up in the libraries and it should provide benefit to the common man, general public and industry. He said the university was making all-out efforts to provide state-of-the-art facilities to the researchers and students. He said more than 30 RO plants were already operating in the hostels and other areas of the campus.
