Ranveer would do 100% justice to the Met Gala theme: Deepika Padukone

'Simmba' star is known for his fun and quirky sense of style

Like every year, Met Gala 2019 witnessed Hollywood celebrities flaunting over-the-top looks. While each of them sported more daring outfits than the other, Bollywood stars were no different. Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra graced the pink carpet in statement attires. However, back in India, fans demanded the Piku star’s actor-husband Ranveer Singh to attend the event too.

This is particularly because Ranveer is known for his quirky and unconventional sense of style – and that is what the extravaganza was all about. Many users wondered how the Simmba star would dress up for the gala’s theme ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’. “Ranveer’s wardrobe has been camp-y throughout his Bollywood career, Met Gala or no Met Gala,” Times Now magazine quoted a social media user as saying.

Needless to say, Deepika is in complete agreement with fans and she too feels Ranveer would ace the Met Gala look. In a behind-the-scenes video released by Vogue, Deepika was seen gushing over her husband. She mentioned how Ranveer is the one who actually belongs to the Met Gala and that she is just representing him. "He has this crazy sense of dressing and I think he would be actually a perfect fit for the theme. I think he is one person who will 100% do justice to the theme but I am the one representing him."

When Deepika was further questioned about how she met Ranveer, she said, "Film set romance. We dated for six years before we got married". Well, we hope we see both Ranveer and Deepika walk the red carpet of Met Gala 2020!
