HYDERABAD:
A blast in Lakhra coal mine in Jamshoro district on Tuesday left five mine workers killed.

According to the police, the blast occurred because of the accumulation of gas in the mine. The mine was being operated by Nadeem Malik company, a contractor of Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation.


The police informed that seven labourers were pulled out in critically injured condition while the body of 45-year-old Allah Bux Daidano, the manager, remained buried in the mine. Of the injured three succumbed to their injuries on Tuesday and one on Wednesday.
