Secretary inspects Indus Highway

Senior officers of National Highway Authority gave a detailed briefing to Siddiqui regarding the project

Many delegates from the United States and government officials were present at the seminar

Federal Communications Secretary Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to the Jamshoro-Sehwan Section of the Indus Highway to review progress on its construction. During the visit, Siddiqui emphasised on adhering to timelines of the project whilst maintaining international standards of construction. Senior officers of National Highway Authority gave a detailed briefing to Siddiqui regarding progress on the project. Speaking to the media Siddiqui said he is inspecting construction work on the project on directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan. We desire early completion of the Jamshoro-Sehwan Road project which will pave the way for socio-economic development of the area besides gearing up the pace of industrial development. Federal and provincial governments are cooperating with each other for providing relief to the people of the Sindh, he said. Siddiqui also planted a sapling at Aamri in connection with Clean and Green Pakistan drive.
