ISLAMABAD: The immediate assistance and prompt action from officers of the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) helped save the life a young man whose car had caught fire. The tyre of a car (HV-657) driven by Ali Khawar had burst, throwing the car into a road divider in sector F-10/2 on Tuesday. The car subsequently caught fire. Soon after the incident, an on-duty Inspector Mukhtar Hussain, along with a squad of officers, rushed to the spot and found Khawar unconscious in the car and strapped to his seat with a seat belt. The team immediately pulled the man out of the car and shifted him to the hospital. Eyewitnesses recounted that the courageous and timely action of the policemen helped avert a catastrophe.
