IG FC lauds tribes for helping restore peace
Meets elders of Mewand, Kahan and Barkhan
QUETTA:
Inspector General Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan has lauded the tribes for playing an active role along with the LEAs in restoring peace in the province.
While meeting tribal elders during his visit to Mewand, Kahan and Barkhan, Major General Fayaz Hussain stressed the need for further joint cooperation between the LEAs and the tribal elders to completely eradicate terrorism from the province.
“Fortunately, peace has been established in Balochistan. Without the support of tribal people, we would not have had access to completely remove the menace of terrorism from Balochistan,” said Hussain.
“Peace directly leads to development and prosperity because without a peaceful environment we cannot grab the attention of foreign and national investors,” he added.
Lauding successful action of Mewand Rifles against armed groups and their hideouts, he said, “We won’t step back from rendering any sacrifice for peace in Balochistan.”
Tribal elders of the areas met with the IG FC and shared their woes.
