While chairing a meeting to review security and the establishment of Sasta bazaars, the chief minister also directed authorities to have CCTV cameras installed across Quetta.
“Foolproof security should be ensured at all places of worship, shopping malls and markets to create a safe and secure environment for people,” he said.
He also directed price control committees and district administrations to visit fair price shops to ensure that edibles including vegetables and fruits were available at appropriate price.
He said district administrations have been given the authority to take strict action against shopkeepers selling unhygienic food items to citizens. “Anyone found stocking or hoarding vegetables and fruits will be penalised as will be those charging more than they should,” he added.
Regarding traffic flow management, Kamal directed the traffic police to prepare a comprehensive plan and to ensure compliance with traffic laws.
During the meeting, Quetta Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Abdul Razzaq Cheema gave a briefing regarding security arrangements and traffic management system during Ramazan. Meanwhile, the commissioner and deputy commissioner of Quetta also attended the meeting and briefed it regarding the Sasta bazaars set up for Ramazan.
