RAWALPINDI:
The trade volume between Pakistan and USA is very low and there is a need to enhance the visits of business delegations between the two countries, said Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Vice President Fayyaz Qureshi.
Leading RCCI delegation at Pak-America Business Conference in Dallas, Texas, Qureshi pointed out that the main purpose of the conference was to provide an opportunity to exchange views and identify the hurdles in trade ties between the two business communities.
The conference was aimed at enhancing cooperation with key organisations in both countries to ensure cohesive and coordinated strategies in promoting US private sector interests in Pakistan, he added.
The conference was organised by RCCI in collaboration with Pakistan American Business Forum. We need to explore new markets and identify new areas of cooperation including the services sector, gems and jewellery and information technology, he said. He expressed hope that in coming years the trade volume would increase and invited overseas Pakistanis to invest in different sectors.
