Buzdar to attend hospital inauguration
The 200-bed capacity hospital is being constructed at a cost of Rs6 billion

Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Monday met with Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and invited him to attend the stone-laying ceremony of the Mother and Child Hospital in Rawalpindi on May 10. Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to perform the stone-laying ceremony for the hospital on May 10, read a statement. The 200-bed capacity hospital is being constructed at a cost of Rs6 billion. The hospital will provide sophisticated facilities to mother and child and will be equipped with modern facilities. The project has been on mothballs since 2005 owing to different government preferences and political differences. Having been elected from Rawalpindi Ahmed laid special emphasis on resuming work on this project and got the grant approved for it.
