Widow files petition for blood money in Muzaffargarh
Brother-in-law receives Rs2.7m from accused involved in the killing of her husband
MUZAFFARGARH:
A widow has moved to court against her brother-in-law, alleging that he had received Rs2.7 million from the accused involved in the killing of her husband but gave no money to her or her orphaned children.
Shahnaz Bibi, widow of Altaf Hussain, told a news conference, that she filed a petition with the session court, stating that her husband had gone to Sadiqabad one year ago for work but was killed during a quarrel.
She said that an FIR was registered on the report of her husband’s brother, Safdar Hussain, who, she alleges, received Rs2.7 million from the accused without mentioning her and her kids as legal heirs, and forgave them.
She added that Safdar forced her out of her home along with kids when she demanded money. She said that she was also tortured by Safdar and his accomplices.
