FIA arrests imposter posing as army officer
Suspect presented himself as military officer, told people to share secret information

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) National Resource Centre for Cyber Crime (NR3C) Peshawar on Monday arrested a man posing as an army major. The suspect Muhammad Hanif presented himself as a military officer and told people to give him secret information so as to transfer their money into his own bank account.
Muhammad Israr, a resident of Nowhsera, filed a complaint with FIA. He told NR3C that he had been deprived of Rs85,000 through a fake call by the accused.
The FIA sleuths traced the suspect and picked him up from his residence in Faisalabad district of Punjab.
During initial questioning, Hanif said gave back whatever loot he had left and also confessed to have duped other people. Further investigation is underway.
