Marching orders: Khan says government has to go

PTI chief addresses thousands in Multan, pushes to oust govt.

MULTAN:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairperson Imran Khan has started a movement to rid the people of the present government from Multan.

Khan reached Multan on Sunday, accompanied by a large rally of PTI workers from Lahore. On his way to Multan, PTI workers from the district received them with loud cheers. “Imran Khan is the only change this country needs. We need someone who speaks the truth and is not corrupt,” said Multan resident Aslam Baig.

While addressing a crowd of thousands in Mian Channu, Imran Khan said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were playing with the people’s future without any care about how their petty politicking would affect Pakistan.

“We are already a disaster zone and if things don’t change we will be beyond the point of no return. We simply cannot sit back and watch these events unfold quietly. This government needs to go,” he said.

On the other hand, another large gathering at the Multan Sports ground was organised on the same day. Thousands of people were present to see Khan’s speech which was telecast on huge television screens installed at the site. Over 3,000 police officials were deployed at the site for the crowd’s protection.
