Emergency response units for Ramazan in K-P

Teams deputed across the province to remain on duty around the clock

PESHAWAR: The provincial food authority has decided to set up emergency response units in the seven divisional headquarters of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

This was decided during an emergency meeting of the K-P Food Authority regarding Ramazan on Sunday. The meeting was chaired by K-P Food Authority Director General Riaz Khan Mahsud. Operations Director Khalid Khan Khattak, Administration Director Muhammad Shoaib Khan and Technical Director Dr Syed Abdul Sattar Shah along with deputy directors attended the meeting.

Mahsud was briefed about the authority’s Ramazan strategy Khattak who disclosed that emergency response units have been set up across the seven divisional headquarters while the concerned officer’s contact numbers have also provided to the public for complaints and redressal.

He furthered that teams are deputed across the province, including the provincial capital of Peshawar, will remain on duty around the clock.

“These teams will work in day and night shifts and will be accompanied by mobile milk testing labs of livestock department,” Khattak added.
