FC College University: Best students feted ahead of convocation
Principal says students should aim to make the world a better place.
LAHORE:
Forman Christian College University recognised over 200 students for various awards on Saturday ahead of today’s convocation.
Farhan James, Sadia Khalid and Bilal Ahmad were named the best students of the year for their overall record including grades, extra-curricular activities, disciplinary record and the recommendations of instructors. Khalid, who will give a speech at the convocation, said she would remember her time in university forever not just for academic reasons, but because she had found her best friends there. Over 200 students were rewarded for various achievements.
Two students will graduate summa cum laude (‘with highest honours’, a grade point average of above 3.90), 16 magna cum laude (‘with high honour’, GPA above 3.70) and 22 cum laude (‘with honour’, GPA above 3.50). The students were handed medals and certificates by FCCU Rector Dr Peter H Armacost, Vice Rector Dr Marcia A Grant and Associate Professor Dr Cusrow J Dubash.
