General Qamar Javed Bajwa lauds regiment’s contribution in war against terrorism

General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) installed Lieutenant General Aamir Abbasi as Colonel Commandant of Frontier Force Regiment on Tuesday.

The outgoing colonel of the regiment, Lt-Gen (retd) Ghayur Mahmood Awan and large number of serving and retired officers and soldiers attended the ceremony at Frontier Force Regimental Centre in Abbottabad.

Speaking on the occasion, the army chief appreciated the contributions and sacrifices of the FF Regiment for the defence of motherland during conventional as well as in war against terrorism.

Army chief lauds high morale of troops

Gen Qamar also laid floral wreath at martyrs monument, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

On Monday, the army chief lauded high morale and operational preparedness of troops while visiting Lahore Corps at Chunian and Kasur and Mangla Corps at Tilla Field firing ranges.

General Qamar said that with the support of people of Pakistan, brave soldiers of armed forces will defend the motherland at all costs.
