Media a key pillar of state

With news expose’s continuing to have a profound impact on the country, journalism has firmly inducted itself as one of the key pillars of the state.
This was stated by Dr Farooq Sulehri during a seminar at Ripah University on the “Role of media in the era of Globalization”.
Dr Sulehri added that modes of information such as newspapers and digital platforms were all important sources of creating awareness amongst the masses.
“The media has a vital role in the era of globalization while they could also help educate the society,” he said.
Other speakers stated that globalization has created an impact on every aspect of life. A number of students from the media studies department participated in the seminar.
