‘Health workers play key role’

All health workers should enhance their capabilities

Allied health professionals play a central role in the medical treatment of patients while also helping in management and discipline. These views were expressed by Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Dr Mohammad Tayyab while speaking at a ceremony organised to commemorate five years of Allied Health Sciences School.

Tayyab stated that Lahore General Hospital (LGH) is the only institution which is affiliated with four others institutions. In the case of an emergency, or accident, hundreds of injured people, especially those with head injuries, are brought to the hospital where health professionals provide them with the best possible medical facilities. He called upon staff members to enhance their capabilities.
